A high school senior says her dress got her kicked out of prom.
“Last night I got kicked out of my own senior prom because my dress was too ‘revealing’ on my sides,” Mireya Briceno, of Michigan, posted on Facebook. “I know I saw so much worse.”
Mireya’s mom, Connie Briceno, told Yahoo Parenting she went dress shopping with the girl. They shopped for a dress they thought would fit the Muskegon High School dress code, Connie told Yahoo.
In fact, Yahoo posted a copy of a letter allegedly sent to prom attendees. The letter says, “Backless dresses ARE acceptable.”
Mireya was initially allowed into the dance, her mom told Yahoo. But an hour later the assistant principal said she needed to leave because her dress violated the rules.
