HERSHEY, Pa. (CBS) – The words “Hershey” and “chocolate bar” go hand-in-hand. But now the company is set to come out with a new product – made of meat.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the 122-year-old company will soon start selling Krave protein bars. There’s no chocolate to be found here, these snacks will be made from dried meats and other ingredients such as cranberries and quinoa.

Krave had been making jerky for years before it was acquired by Hershey in 2015 for roughly $200 million to $300 million.

Hershey executives tell The Journal they’re trying to keep up with America’s changing tastes as people search for healthier options instead of chocolate bars.

The new meat bars are expected to be on store shelves in August.
