MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Police are looking for a man accused of assaulting a woman at a home on Weyburn Street last Wednesday.
A report released by Raul Denis of HCPD says officers arrived at the home at 8:45 p.m. on August 10. On arrival, police found out from a resident of the home that her husband had taken his adult daughter to the hospital for her injuries.
Neighbors told police three black males had been in the area the last few hours and were observed running away from the home.
When officers met with the woman at the emergency room, they found out that she received a head injury while struggling with the unknown male she fell and hit her head on a piece of metal on the screen door.
The victim says she was making dinner when a man knocked on her door and asked if her boyfriend was home. She told the man she “couldn’t help him” and he went away.
A few minutes later, a group of males came back to the house, knocked on the door and after the woman told them “no” again, they left. The third time the men showed up, one grabbed her and tried to pull her out on to the porch. The victim told police that he wrapped his arm around her neck and put a gun to her head.
Suspect one is described as a light-skinned man with dreads and the other two suspects are described as medium-skinned black males with short hair. The report says all three subjects were tall, skinny, and appeared to be in their 20’s.
Neighbors say they fled on foot the first time, but returned to the scene at one point in a black Chevy with SC issued 45 day temporary tags.
