DARLINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) – Darlington County and City fire crews are on the scene of a fully engulfed home fire on Lawson Road.
Darlington County officials say the home is in Darlington County, but a city fire department was closer so city crews responded first. Darlington County fire crews then responded with mutual aid.
Officials say no one was home during the fire and no one was hurt, but they do expect the home’s occupants to be displaced.
The home belonged to Hartsville Police Chief Jerry Thompson.
