DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – Darlington County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested two people for various crimes including child neglect.
According to a press release, deputies served a search warrant Tuesday at a home on Dovesville Highway and recovered more than $10,000 in stolen property.
Maria Gilbert, 23, and Calvin Jackson, 47, both of Hartsville are charged with seven counts of burglary 2nd degree, grand larceny, unlawful neglect of a child and criminal conspiracy. Bond was set at $63,000 for each person and are being held in the Darlington County Detention Center.
The pair also had additional charges with Lamar Police Department.
Sheriff Wayne Byrd said this is still an ongoing investigation and more charges could be forthcoming.
