HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – A Hartsville man is in jail on an attempted murder charge, among others, for reportedly stabbing another man 15 times.
An incident report from the Hartsville Police Department describes how officers were called to a home on Jasper Avenue Monday morning around 4 a.m. When officers arrived they found a 24-year-old man bleeding from multiple stab wounds.
Through their investigation, officers discovered the alleged attacker was Trevante Rashon Johnson, 25, of Hartsville.
Investigators say Johnson threatened the victim with a knife, stole $100 from him and then stabbed the victim 15 times, including once in the eye. Johnson then stole the victim’s mother’s car to get away.
Johnson is charged with attempted murder, armed robbery with a deadly weapon, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and grand larceny. According to online booking records, bond has been denied on all counts.
