HARTSVILLE, SC (WBTW) – One person is dead after a single car crash in Darlington County. The South Carolina Highway Patrol says the crash happened Wednesday night around 9:45 p.m. in the 400 block of Clyde Road near Kelleytown Stadium.
Troopers say the driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, ran off the road and hit a tree.
Darlington County Coroner, J Todd Hardee, identifies the victim as Stephen Deshon Segars, of Hartsville. Segars died from injuries sustained during the crash, adds Hardee.
The crash is being investigated by Darlington County Coroner’s Office and SCHP, according to Hardee.
