HARTSVILLE – Hartsville baseball and softball both went to extra innings in state title games Saturday, but both fell short.

In baseball, the Red Foxes trailed Belton-Honea Path 3-2 in the bottom of the 12th. They loaded the bases with one out, but BHP worked out of the jam. Austin Morris struck out for the final out.

In softball, Hartsville fell to Union County 10-7 in 11 innings. The Yellow Jackets scored four run in the top of the 11th to prevail.
