Authorities in Darlington County say they have found a man from the Hartsville area who was missing.
Heyward Lee Smith, age 52, was reported missing on Tuesday after vanishing earlier in Marsh, said Denise Windham of the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office.
Smith was found Thursday after last being seen 2 weeks ago — March 19 — on Old Camden Road In the Hartsville area of Darlington County.
He was known to drive a silver 2003 Ford Explorer, which authorities were also looking for.
On Thursday afternoon, Sheriff J. Wayne Byrd said that Smith “has been located and is safe.”
No further details were released.
