MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Staff members at the Grand Strand Humane Society are calling Harold a superhero.
Staff members said they were heart broken when Harold was returned from his new home for not be a good fit. “He did absolutely nothing wrong! It just simply wasn’t the right fit,” reads the Humane Society’s recent Facebook post.
But Harold quickly became a blessing in disguise.
When Harold was returning from an afternoon walk, he was acting odd and refused to leave the side of a large container beside a truck bed, according to the post.
A volunteer investigated and found six teeny puppies abandoned in the container.
“If Harold was not here with us at the shelter last night, there might be 6 less puppies sleeping soundly, nice and warm, with full bellies this morning,” reads the Facebook post. “Our sweet boy saved the day!”
