LAURINBURG, NC (WBTW) – Scotland County detectives continue to search for man reported missing December 18, from his family’s home in Laurinburg.
A post on the Scotland County Detective Division Facebook page says Herbert Strickland, also known as JR, was last seen leaving a home on Carolina Bay Road and getting into a dark in color SUV.
Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots just prior to the vehicle leaving the scene. Strickland hasn’t been seen since. Investigators say he is believed to be at “a substantial risk for his life and in imminent danger.”
