CONWAY, SC (WBTW) –  The gunman in a shooting on Myrtle Beach’s Ocean Blvd. on the morning of Father’s Day 2017 has been sentenced to 20 years.

Derias Little appeared in court on Wednesday in Conway. News13 was at the hearing.

He pleaded guilty to attempted murder, carjacking, and possession of a weapon.

A judge sentenced him to 20 years on the attempted murder charge, 20 years for the carjacking charge, and five years on the weapon charge. Little was given credit for time served of 603 days and his sentences will run concurrently.

Little is one of five people accused in the shooting that got national attention after it was captured in a Facebook live video.

In December, Little’s attorney requested a mental health evaluation.

Bond was denied for Little during a court appearance in June 2017.
