GREEN SEA, SC (WBTW) – The Green Sea Floyds baseball team has had no trouble scoring runs this postseason. Many of their games they have scored 15, 16, even 19 runs on occasion as they have steam rolled the competition. On Wednesday night, they did things a bit differently, winning with their defense and pitching. The Trojans didn’t commit a single error and got a complete game 7 inning, 0 run performance from pitcher Storm Harrelson who outdualed Jacob Watkins for Branchville. Bubba Elliott provided the only offense in the 1st inning with a solo home run to left field.
The Trojans are set to face McBee in the SCHSL Class A finals beginning on Saturday at McBee. It is a best of 3-game series with game 2 Tuesday at Green Sea Floyds, if they need it Game 3 would be on Saturday, May the 18th. McBee has won 2 of the last 3 state championships in Class A. (2016 and 2018)
