A suspect has been arrested in connection to a disturbing burglary case from earlier this year.

According to a police report from Myrtle Beach police, William Hicks is charged with first-degree burglary.

The report states that on July 13 the victim woke in her bedroom to find a man standing naked next to her bed. He told her he guessed the code to her front door to get into the house. When the victim asked him to leave he went up into the attic of the house where he retrieved a backpack with his clothes.

The victim told police that she was not threatened nor did the man take anything from her house.

Hicks is currently in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center. He was there for an unrelated incident when the warrant for this case was served against him.
