Winyah Rivers Foundation hosts annual photography contest

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The Winyah Rivers Foundation is partnering with the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum to host a photography contest.

Photos can be submitted through April 16 and the winning pictures will be on display at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum, located at 3100 South Ocean Boulevard.

Organizers say the goal of this contest is to promote the beauty of our local rivers and to raise funds for Winyah Rivers Foundation and support the Waccamaw RIVERKEEPER® Program.

Contest categories include Georgetown County Heritage, scenic and wildlife. The photographs should have been taken in North or South Carolina. For the Georgetown County category, the photo must be taken in Georgetown County, SC. Read the complete list of rules.

Best of Show for the contest wins $150. First place in each category wins $100. Viewers’ Vote recipient receives $50, and second and third place winners will also receive prizes. Winners are eligible for only one prize. Photographers have until midnight April 16 to enter.
