WBTW News13’s “Treats for Special Kids” took place on Friday at Medieval Times.
About 500 kids attended and were able to see a show, eat lunch, and trick-or-treat in a safe, barrier-free environment.
“It’s definitely a ray of emotions. You’ll have some kids so excited. Of course, it’s Halloween, so a couple little boos and scares here and there, but it’s just the most wonderful, feel-good event of the year,” said Amanda Mateo, Marketing and Sales Manager for Medieval Times.
Another “Treats for Special Kids” event was held on October 16 at Florence Darlington Technical College.
This is an annual event that News13 has hosted every year since 1988.
