The “Waccamaw Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster” held a supply distribution for people in Horry County affected by the storm.
The distribution was held on Monday at the Salvation Army building on 16th Avenue in Conway.
The items provided include cleaning supplies, personal hygiene, baby products, food, and water.
“This is the first time the VOAD in this area has done this type of distribution on this big of a scale,” says Maj. Angie Repass with the Salvation Army. “And so, we just knew that this would be a need and we wanted to make sure we met this need, but we know that as the next week or two comes across, there are going to be a lot more people that are going to need help.”
