Volunteer Organizations Assisting Disasters will have drop-off locations in the Grand Strand area for flood relief items.
According to a post on Myrtle Beach City Government’s Facebook page, the City of Myrtle Beach, VOAD, and a local radio station collected a truck load of items on Sunday during the Full Moon Party at Chapin Park.
The following locations will be drop off locations for additional items:
- All area Lowes Foods
- Chick-fil-a (Carolina Forest)- 85 Rodeo Drive, Myrtle Beach, SC 29579
- Fun Warehouse- 2349 Dick Pond Road, Surfside Beach, SC 29575
- Ledo Pizza- 220 Highway 17 North, North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582
According to the post, the following items are needed:
- Canned Meats
- Peanut butter
- Jelly (plastic jars)
- Canned fruit
- Canned corn, canned peas, and canned mixed vegetables
- Mac-n-cheese
- Soup (no glass jars)
- Gatorade/Powerade
- Shampoo/conditioner
- Deodorant
- Soap
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- Lip balm
- Razors and shaving cream
- Feminine hygiene products
- Brush/comb
- Hand sanitizer
- Laundry detergent
- Paper towels and toilet paper
- Large trash bags
- Clorox wipes
- Dust/mist masks
- Work gloves
- First aid kids
- Baby diapers and baby wipes
- Adult diapers
- Flashlights and batteries
The following items are not accepted: clothing, furniture, linens, and items in class jars.
