One person has died after a crash in the Conway area.
According to Cpl. Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, two vehicles were involved in the crash. The driver of a 2000 Ford pickup truck was trying to cross Hwy 544 from Cox Ferry Road and a 1999 Ford pickup truck was traveling east bound on Hwy 544. The 2000 Ford truck pulled out in front of the other truck, resulting in a crash.
Collins also says both drivers were wearing seatbelts. The driver of the 2000 Ford truck was killed and the driver of the 1999 Ford truck was not injured.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge identified the man who died as 63-year-old Floyd Hathaway, Jr., of Myrtle Beach. He was pronounced dead at the Conway ER.
No other information about the crash or the victims is available. WBTW News13 will provide updates as we receive them.
