Two people were taken to the hospital after a fire started inside their Conway home Tuesday evening.
According to Conway city spokesperson, Taylor Newell, the fire started in the back of the home located at 1000 Main Street. Two people in their 70s were treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.
There is no word on what caused the fire, but Horry County Fire Rescue reports a fire investigator was called to the scene.
Newell added that a 3-block radius of Main Street in Conway was shut down as fire crews worked to extinguish the blaze.
Horry County Fire Rescue assisted Conway Fire Department on the call.
