(WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in Pawleys Island Saturday evening.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol website, the crash happened around 7:13 p.m., on Martin Luther King Rd near Petigru Dr in Georgetown County.
The driver of a 2005 Honda Accord was traveling south on Martin Luther King Rd when they left the road and struck a ditch, according to Lcpl. David Jones. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
They were taken to a local hospital where they later died from their injuries.
The coroner’s office has identified the victim as 25-year-old Larry Williams of Georgetown.
