Topgolf Myrtle Beach is coming together ahead of its grand opening in 2019.
News13 stopped by the property Thursday where the facility is being built, near Broadway at the Beach. We saw crews moving soil around and painting.
Topgolf calls itself a sports entertainment complex that features an inclusive, high-tech golf game. The company’s “signature game” involves players scoring points by hitting balls into any target on the driving range.
Topgolf will be the first of its kind in South Carolina, although a location in Greenville will also be opening soon. The location in Charlotte, NC has been very popular since its opening.
The facility in Myrtle Beach broke ground in April. Representatives from the company said Thursday they still do not have an exact date for the opening of the Myrtle Beach location, but it is expected to be some time in early 2019.
The company said the new location will create 350 full and part-time jobs.
