MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The national addiction to opioid pain relievers and heroin has hit the Carolinas especially hard. To make matters worse, the problem is growing.
WBTW News13 will dedicate a portion of Thursday’s newscasts to focus on solutions for addiction and families struggling to help loved ones overcome the disease. A special phone bank will be manned in the News13 studio by health professionals.
Those who need help or just have questions about addiction and resources offered along the Grand Strand and Pee Dee are encouraged to call and speak with a specialist. The phone bank will be open 9 a.m. – 10 a.m., 12 p.m. – 1 p.m., and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The phone number is 843.294.8432.
