Tanger Outlets donates nearly $35k to help with Conway Medical Center’s mobile mammography unit

Tanger Outlets is helping fight breast cancer right here on the Grand Strand.

The company donated more than $35,000 to Conway Medical Center on Monday for the “Best Chance Program.”

The programs helps with CMC’s 3D mobile mammography unit.

The funds were raised throughout the month of October as part of the 25th Annual Tanger Pink Campaign.

“It’s all about detecting those things in advance and giving the greatest amount of time for care, and that’s what these funds are going to allow us to do,” said Ted Milford, Director of Development for the CMC Foundation. “Our latest 3D mobile mammography technology gets out in the community and it brings those mammograms right out into the community. So, it’s really special.”

The mobile unit has state-of-the-art technology that makes breast cancer screenings more accessible.

Tanger Outlets has been raising money for breast cancer since 1994.
