The two suspects wanted in a Friday carjacking in Georgetown have been identified, one of whom is in the hospital, according to a Facebook post from Georgetown police.

According to Georgetown police, the Nissan Maxima seen in connection to the carjacking was driven to a Boost Mobile in Colombia where the suspect attempted to rob the store clerk at gunpoint.

The suspect was wearing a wig and dressed as a woman. The clerk pulled a gun and shot the suspect. After the ensuing gunfight, the suspect drove to a nearby gas station where he was picked up by Nautica Morgan who was driving the stolen SUV.

She then took the suspect, identified as Demetrius Lamar Jackson to the hospital where he is being treated. Both vehicles have been recovered by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and arrest warrants are being obtained for both suspects.

The SUV is white Chevrolet Tahoe with South Carolina plates DAQ-675. According to the Georgetown Police Department, the victim was in the driver’s seat of the Tahoe when a woman opened the passenger side door, demanded the victim get out and showed a handgun.

The victim then ran into the Walgreens at 1098 North Fraser Street for help.

The suspect got into the driver seat and drove away heading north towards Walmart. Witnesses in the parking lot believed that another vehicle, possibly a black Nissan with an unknown SC tag, driven by a man dropped the female suspect off and was last seen following the Tahoe.

The Tahoe has a Citadel sticker on back glass close to the windshield wipers.
