Family members say Senator Greg Hembree has been released from the hospital and is recovering at home.
Hembree was initially hospitalized last month due to a potential small brain aneurysm. He later was put on a ventilator due to complications from a blood infection. The ventilator was removed on the 11th, but Hembree remained in the hospital.
His daughter Nora says there will be plenty of rest and rehabilitation ahead but is so happy to have him home. He will also be able to enjoy a slice cake on Tuesday for his birthday.
The senator’s office is open and his staff is still hard at work.
