CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – An Horry County school bus carrying 20 students near Coastal Carolina University was involved in a minor wreck Wednesday morning, according to district officials.
Horry County Schools spokesperson Lisa Bourcier says around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning the school bus was involved “in a minor traffic accident” in the roundabout near CCU in Conway. The district says there were 20 students on board traveling to the Horry County Early College High School.
No injuries have been reported at this time, according to Bourcier. Coastal Carolina University police are on scene.
Wednesday’s wreck is the second school-bus involved crash in two days for Horry County. A driver ran off the side of the road into a ditch Tuesday morning, sending three children and one adult to the hospital.
Tuesday’s crash happened on Harper Road at Hwy 701 in Conway. Bouricier says 18 children were on the bus, which was headed to Whittemore Park Middle School.
It is unclear at this time if either school bus driver will be disciplined.
