(WBTW) – The following school districts will be closed Thursday in anticipation of bad weather stemming from Hurricane Michael. Some districts have also released plans for Friday, which are specified beneath the district listing.

  • Chesterfield County School District
  • Clarendon School District Two
  • Darlington County School District
  • Dillon School District Three and Four
  • Emmanuel Christian School (Hartsville)
  • Florence County School District One
  • Florence County School District Two 
    • The district will also operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff on Friday, October 12.
  • Florence County School District Three
    • The district will also operate on a two-hour delay for students on Friday, October 12. Employees should report at their normal times Friday. In addition, after-school programs that provide bus transportation for students are canceled for Wednesday.
  • Florence Christian School
  • Florence County School District Five 
    • The district will also operate on a two-hour delay for students and staff on Friday, October 12.
  • Georgetown County School District
    • The district plans to re-open Friday, unless announced otherwise.
  • Horry County Schools
    • The district plans to re-open Friday, unless announced otherwise.
  • Lee County School District
  • Marion County School District
  • Marlboro County School District
    • Employees to work 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday
    • Make-up day is Friday, October 12, according to district Facebook page
  • Robeson County Schools
    • Schools to remain closed Friday for students; two-hour delay Friday for central office employees
  • Robeson Community College
  • Sumter School District
    • The district plans to re-open Friday, unless announced otherwise.
  • The King’s Academy (Florence)
  • Thomas Hart Academy (Hartsville)
  • Trinity-Byrnes Collegiate School (Darlington)
  • Williamsburg County School District
    • The district will also operate on a two-hour delay for students and a one-hour delay for staff on Friday, October 12.
