“Salute to Education” event honoring students, teachers held in Conway

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – The Conway Chamber Of Commerce honored the top students and teachers in Horry County on Wednesday at its annual “Salute To Education” luncheon.         

The program honors outstanding seniors from each high school, chosen by guidance counselors.        

The top teachers are selected by students.

“Next year, I’ll be going to Yale to study math. That’s the goal. The goal is probably to get a PhD in mathematics and then figure it out from there,” said Dashiell Stevanovich, Scholars Academy Senior and Horry Electric Scholarship recipient.

The event marked the 51st year for the “Salute To Education” event.
