NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Resort construction at the end of January will call for a crane to complete the work, closing a portion of Ocean Boulevard in North Myrtle Beach.

Drivers who travel on Ocean Boulevard should plan to take an alternate route on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 due to the planned construction, according to the City of North Myrtle Beach.

Due to work at Tilghman Beach & Golf Resort, located at 1819 North Ocean Boulevard, the southbound lanes of Ocean Boulevard between Shorehaven Drive and 18th Avenue North will be closed during the day on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, according to the City of North Myrtle Beach. The lanes will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. both days. The northbound lanes will remain open to traffic.

Overnight, southbound and northbound lanes will be open to traffic, according to the City of North Myrtle Beach.

The city advises that drivers can still reach areas on Ocean Boulevard south of 18th Ave. North, they’ll just detour onto Sea Mountain Highway westbound to Hwy. 17 southbound, then take 11th Ave. North to reconnect to Ocean Boulevard.
