Part of 17 Business was blocked Tuesday night due to an overturned vehicle, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.
The crash happened just before 10 p.m., according to South Carolina Highway Patrol. It happened in the area of Ocean Lakes Family Campground (SC 544). Troopers say northbound lanes are blocked.
Horry County Fire Rescue tells News13 that a person had to be extricated from the vehicle. The person was transported to Grand Strand ER.
It’s unclear what led to the crash or the extent of injuries to those involved.
We’re told South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Surfside Beach Fire Department is assisting on the scene.
Around 10:30 p.m., the vehicle was flipped back over and officials were working to tow the vehicle away.
At approximately 9:50 p.m., HCFR joined SCHP and the Surfside Beach FD at a call of an overturned car at N Highway 17 Business and Ocean Lakes Drive.
One person had to be extricated by our crews.

Around 11 p.m., lanes reopened on 17 Business.
Trooper Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol tells News13 that no one was charged or cited in the crash.
