MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – One person has died after falling from a hotel balcony Friday morning in Myrtle Beach, officials confirm.
Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue crews and police were called to an oceanfront hotel after a person fell from a hotel balcony. According to Lt. Jonathan Evans with Myrtle Beach Fire Rescue, crews were called to Island Vista Hotel, located at 6000 North Ocean Boulevard, just before noon for a fall patient.
Captain Joey Crosby with Myrtle Beach police says it’s unknown at this time from which floor the person fell. Officials have not said if the victim is a man or woman.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge says the office has been called to the location, but no other details were available. News13 has a crew en route to the scene and will provide more information as it is confirmed with officials.
Neither Myrtle Beach police or the Horry County Coroner’s Office has confirmed a manner of death.
