A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a car in Horry County Friday night. 

According to Deputy Coroner Patty Bellamy, the crash happened just after 10:00 p.m. on River Oaks Drive and International Drive, which is in the Myrtle Beach area of the county. 

Bellamy identified the man as Jason Bernabi. Bernabi was 29-years-old from Myrtle Beach. He was struck by a vehicle while he was walking on the side of the road. 

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Bernabi was struck by a person driving a 2002 Chevy SUV that was traveling North. No other cars were involved.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
