LITTLE RIVER, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly crash in the Little River area of Horry County.
Michelle McSpadden with the Horry County Coroner’s Office identified the person killed as 45-year-old Romeo Gregorio of Little River.
SC Highway Patrol LCpl. David Jones says the crash happened Friday morning just before 6 a.m. on SC 9 The online traffic system on the highway patrol’s website locates the crash in front of North Strand Nissan.
LCpl. Jones says a person was walking south in the “fast lane” when a driver traveling in the same direction struck them.
Gregorio was killed as a result of the collision. The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The crash remains under investigation by the SC Highway Patrol.
