LITTLE RIVER, SC (WBTW) – One person is dead after being struck by an SUV Thursday night.
According to the Horry County Deputy Coroner, it happened on Highway 9 near the intersection of Bay Drive around 8 p.m. Lauren Michelle Rochefort, 30 years old, of Green Sea, died.
The driver of the SUV was traveling east bound and struck Rochefort while she was crossing the street. The driver was not injured and was wearing a seatbelt.
South Carolina Highway patrol continues to investigate what happened.
