Over 600 people are without power in Horry County following afternoon storms.
Santee Cooper’s outage map shows about 590 customers are without power near Dick Pond Road and Big Block Road in the Socastee area. Power is expected to be restored in this area around 6:45 p.m.
Several smaller outages are affecting customers throughout the area. Nearly 59 customers are without power in the area near 6th Avenue South and S. Oak Street. Power is expected to be restored around 7:30 p.m.
About 40 customers are without power in the area around Mallard Lake Drive and Hemlock Avenue near the Myrtle Beach State Park. Power in this area is expected to be restored around 7 p.m.
An outage in the area of 13th Avenue South and Beaver Road near the Whispering Pines Golf Course has left about 26 customers without power. Power is expected to be restored around 7:15 p.m.
