Bikes as far as the eye can see are along the Grand Strand as Bike Week 2018 continues.
Organizers and vendors in Murrells Inlet say this is one of their busiest opening weekends yet.
Leslye Beaver, who owns the Beaver Bar, said she ran out of most food and supplies by the end of the weekend even though she thought they bought enough for the week.
“What an amazing event, what an amazing weekend,” Beaver said. “The weather’s been awesome, the crowd has been awesome, the vendors are thrilled. Probably one of our best first weekends in awhile.'”
Events through the rest of the week include drag races Thursday through Saturday at the North Myrtle Beach drag strip, a 180-mile veterans benefit ride Wednesday, and live music in the Inlet with headliners like Dirty Grass Soul and Josh Brannon.
Of course there’s all the great food, vendors and merchandise, but really Bike Week is about the people. Check out the above video to see who all News13’s Maggie Lorenz spoke to Monday.
Bike Week runs through Sunday, May 20.
