A motorcycle was involved in a crash Thursday night along SC 544 near 17 Bypass in the Socastee area.
Horry County Fire Rescue tells News13 the department responded after getting a call around 7:50 p.m.
Officials with the department say one person was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center with injuries. The extent of that person’s injuries are not known.
Part of 544 was blocked off at 17 Bypass as emergency crews worked. This is not far from the Walmart.
A News13 photographer said it appeared that two vehicles were involved, including a motorcycle. The front passenger side wheel of an SUV appeared to have been broken off.
South Carolina Highway Patrol was on scene. We’re told crews cleared the scene just before 9 p.m.
It’s not clear what led to the crash.
