One person died after a crash involving an 18-wheeler in Georgetown County on Monday.
According to Cpl. Sonny Collins, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on U.S. 17A about two miles north of Jamestown.
An 18-wheeler truck was traveling north and a 2014 pick-up truck was traveling south, Collins said. The pick-up crossed the center line and hit the 18-wheeler head on.
The driver of the pick-up truck died and it is unknown if seatbelts were worn, Collins also said. No charges will be filed.
