NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The City of North Myrtle recently welcomed its new police chief.
Police Chief Greg Purden stared his first day in the role on Wednesday, said a Facebook post from the North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety. Chief Purden has three decades of law enforcement experience.
“Chief Purden states one of his first goals is to get out and learn more about all of our Department operations as well as getting to know our city better,” the post said.
The city hired Purden after the previous North Myrtle Beach police chief retired.
