North Myrtle Beach’s humane society is looking to better help cats find “forever” homes through a program designed by an Animal Planet star.
The program is called “The Jackson Galaxy Project’s Life-Saving Cat Pawsitive Program.”
“Ultimately, it helps to make them more adoptable. When you bring somebody back into the cat area and you are able to say, ‘hey this cat knows how to high five,’ and hold out your hand and the cat high fives you, that cat gets adopted immediately,” said Tina Hunter, Director, North Myrtle Beach Humane Society.
The program is supported by the Petco foundation and Halo Pet Food.
