A North Myrtle Beach police officer was involved in a crash following a chase on Thursday.
Pat Dowling, with the City of North Myrtle Beach, said in an email to News13 that the officer’s car “wound up on its side following a stolen car chase.”
“The incident began on Hwy 17 around Lowes home store where the officer saw the stolen car on the move,” Dowling said. “He turned down 2nd Avenue North in pursuit, appears to have hit one or multiple cars, and his car wound up on its side.”
The officer is okay and was taken to a hospital for a checkup.
A search continues for the stolen car.
