LONGS, SC (WBTW) – A North Myrtle Beach water rescue vehicle was swept away by flood waters, but rescue groups from Louisiana were able to save the workers inside the truck.

North Myrtle Beach Spokesperson Pat Dowling says first responders using the truck in the Longs area Saturday were traveling on Highway 9 when the truck was overcome by flood waters.

Video from the Louisiana USAR Task Forces shows boat rescues taking place along Highway 9, including the rescue of local first responders whose high water vehicle got swept away and flipped over.
