Horry County Schools has received a new report after an air quality test at Saint James Elementary that took place on March 8.

In an email sent to parents, the district says that there was not an elevated level of mold spores in room E1000.

This was a re-test of that room. It was performed by Palmetto EHS. In their report to the school district, Palmetto EHS says they “did not detect musty odors or observe any mold” in the room and that carbon dioxide and humidity levels were within normal limits.

The re-testing comes after parents raised concerns over mold levels and health conditions at the school.
