A ribbon cutting was held on Friday for the new Teknoware Facility in Conway.
The new facility will add 48 jobs to the area. The company already has 78 employees.
“This is the part that they wanted to be in.” Said Sandy Davis, president, and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation. “Mostly because of the advanced manufacturing facility that Horry Georgetown Tech built, and it was easier to recruit employees from there, and also close to the SC works office in Conway.”
Employees would make an average of $18 per hour with benefits. Teknoware is bringing an almost $6-million investment to Conway.
