NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A North Myrtle Beach woman won $125,000 on a ticket sold at a North Myrtle Beach store.
The woman was on vacation with her best friend, when the ticket was purchased at the Turtle Market on Hwy. 17 S. in North Myrtle Beach, according to a press release from the SC Education Lottery.
The woman reportedly told the clerk to give her “any $5 ticket on the rack,” the release said. The woman scratched the Power Shot Multiplier ticket outside the store, and went back inside to show her friend, who was still at the counter picking a ticket.
Their vacation continued, and the winner reportedly said “I seated it in an envelope and then in plastic wrap so it wouldn’t get wet.”
She cashed the ticket on Tuesday.
The store received a commission of $1,250 for selling the claimed ticket.
