A man from Fayetteville, North Carolina died after a single motorcycle crash.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler says 31-year-old Melverton McLaren was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center to be treated for injuries he sustained in the crash. McLaren later died.
The crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday at the Highway 9 and Highway 31 interchange in Horry County, according to Fowler.
Fowler also says McLaren’s death was ruled accidental.
Corporal Sunny Collins, with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, says McLaren was driving a Suzuki motorcycle traveling north on Hwy 31 and ran off the road and hit a concrete barrier. McLaren was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
