MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach plans to conduct a survey about the draining concerns at Withers Basin and the community is invited to give its input.
Myrtle Beach’s Public Works Department and consultant W.K. Dickson will host a Withers Basin Watershed Study Public Information Meeting at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 15. The meeting will be held at the Myrtle Beach Train Depot.
The public is invited to learn more about the Withers Basin study and share observations and drainage concerns. A survey about the Withers Basin area also will be available starting this week, according to the city.
The information meeting will begin with a presentation, followed by opportunities to speak with consultants, view maps and complete the survey. The Withers Basin is the largest drainage basin in the city limits, stretching from 17th Avenue south to 19th Avenue North, and as far westward as Seaboard Street.
