Myrtle Beach police and fire crews trained together on Tuesday for emergencies like active shooter situations.
Myrtle Beach’s Emergency Manager Bruce Arnel said the training is meant to improve cohesiveness.
“We work well together on a daily basis. However, we’ve never really trained operationally together, and that’s something that I want to see going forward as the emergency manager,” said Arnel.
The City of Myrtle Beach says this helps the two teams communicate better, in case an emergency situation arises.
