The Myrtle Beach Pickle Ball Club is trying to expand its sport to include para-pickle ball.

Able-bodied players would be able to play alongside players in wheelchairs.

“If you play para-basketball, you basically play against other people in wheelchairs. In pickle ball, you don’t have to. You can play against stand-up people as well. So, it expands what they can do,” said Jim Loving, President of Myrtle Beach Pickle Ball Club.

The sport of pickle ball combines certain elements from tennis, badminton, and ping-pong.

You can play it indoors or outdoors, with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes.
